Book Reviews
After discovering that my dream hobby is to be a literary agent, I began writing book reviews to practice summarizing, critiquing, and comparing books.
Some of my reviews have been published through the charity Be the Star You Are and on the The Reading Tub.

Babies and Language
In August 2019, I began working for an infant psycholinguistics lab at Duke University. One of the my many responsibilities included creating a blog focused on how babies learn language. building this website gave me the opportunity to dust off my basic CSS and HTML skills.
The blog has two types of articles: longer “Featured” posts and shorter posts that define jargon or uncommon words found in infant language acquisition research, “Meaning Mondays.”
After leaving this position, I had written about half of the total posts.
Founder of “Doorstep Harvest” CSA
In April 2011, I put my experience gardening to commercial use; I founded a small, local, mostly organic Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project for up to four community members.
The following year, I applied for and won a grant from North-Central Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (S.A.R.E.) for $400 to build hoophouses to extend my growing season.
Lasting until my senior year of high school, I researched and implemented permaculture methods including bin and sheet composting, integrative pest management, companion planting, crop rotations, intensive planting, and season-extending hoophouses.
